Blues train at US Bank Stadium

Antonio Conte put the players through their paces at the brand new US Bank Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Our game against AC Milan on Wednesday will be the first public event at the brand new facility in downtown Minneapolis and the squad were able to take to the pitch and sample the enclosed environment 24 hours in advance.
On Wednesday, there will be more than 60,000 people packed inside to open the stadium, the home of the Minnesota Vikings NFL team, but for a few hours on Tuesday, it belonged purely to the Blues.
Earlier in the day, several of the squad met their Vikings counterparts at our hosts’ training facility following our morning session.

John Terry spent time chatting with Chad Greenway, who himself has spent his whole career with one team, while each of the players exchanged a jersey with the Vikings, as well as team caps.
‘I was drafted to the Vikings in 2006 and am now going into my 11th season. I’m kind of a home-grown guy, grew up about a four-hour drive from here and was drafted here. It’s been a dream career for me,’ said the 33-year-old linebacker.
‘I have daughters who play soccer, I didn’t play a lot growing up but we watched a ton of the Euros this summer, the Copa America, and obviously I’m a fan of the US soccer teams.
‘I spoke with John, he’s had such a legendary career, we’re both team captains and it was interesting exchanging stories on the issues we have, it’s so similar no matter what sport you’re playing. He’s done it for such a long time - it’s really impressive.’
